Sometime I only use black printout and the other color inks are out. There is no chip on the ink, but I got a new Canon PIXMA MP560 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Photo Printer (3747B002) that does use an ink with chip like HP.So you get good quality but Canon makes their money off the ink that dryout too fast when not used. Well this is canon own ink so the quaility is top notch and I have great photo printouts. I spent too much money here on Canon fast dry-up wasting ink compare to Original HP 56 Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packagingand and old Epson that I could refill the ink/color. Canon makes the best printers for the price/ features/quality so I am stuck with their ink again. My beef with this ink type is that it dry too quickly and canon printers waste too much ink when you turn it on and off, it does it cleaning or something. I don't use my Canon i960 Photo Printerthat often, when I do use it for black and white, I get low ink all the time.
It is not the same size as the BCI 3ebk. In other words, if you purchase this tank for the I560, you will be printing monochrome. Nothing wrong with this ink tank except that it indicates it is compatible with I560. Be aware that while it will FIT, it will fit only in one of the COLOR ink tank slots.
But try to find the items sold directly by Amazon, so they qualify for "free super saving shipping". I like to order my inks on Amazon: good price, fast, dependable. Sometimes you'll find the same inks at a slightly lower price offered by other sellers, but when shipping charges are added ,you end paying more. I own several Canon printers. My favorite is the i9900.
I have a Canon i860 printer. After finding that I could not buy the 3E ink cartridges, I found that the 6 cartridges are a replacement. Please tell me, if I am wrong.
I have never had a problem with canon ink on my pixma printer, and highly recommend their ink for their printers. These canon ink cartridges are a great value and using the same brand ink for the same brand printer will ensure you do not damage your printer heads or have to worry about leaks and stuff.
